This qualification reflects the role of individuals operating at a senior level who use a wide range of specialised managerial skills and substantial knowledge of event management processes to conceive, plan and stage events.

They operate with significant autonomy and are responsible for making strategic business and event management decisions.


The course content includes development of an event proposal and manage all aspects of the proposal based on their learning in key subject areas such as management, human resources, financial management, researching current event industry trends, event feasibility, marketing trends.

Student are required to complete 24 Competency Unit (16 Core Units and 8 Elective Units) in 18 months of full-time study on campus training.

Entry Requirement

Singaporeans & PRs:
Singapore GCE O level or equivalent with minimum of 3 passes (C6 and above) in English, Mathematics and one other or equivalent.

International Students:
Successfully completed Secondary or High School education that is equivalent to Singapore GCE O Level with satisfactory results and attendance.

Other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applicants must be of age 17 and above. 
If you have not completed your secondary studies, you need to be at least 21 years of age with demonstrated capacity to meet course requirements and relevant work experience.

International students must have a good command of written and spoken English. William Angliss Institute English Language entry requirements must be demonstrated by ONE of the following:

Course Completion Criteria

  • Students must be graded as competent in all 24 units including successful completion of the Industry Placement Program (16 Core Units and 8 Elective Units). 
  • Attendance
    • Student Pass Holders are required to maintain a class attendance of 90% and above as per Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA) requirements.
    • Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents and International students holding a DP/LTVP, are required to maintain a class attendance of 75% and above.


Upon successful completion of the programme, trainees will receive an Advanced Diploma of Event Management issued by William Angliss Institute of TAFE.

Graduates of the Advanced Diploma of Event Management may wish to apply for William Angliss Institute’s Higher Education program in Australia upon completion.


Mode of Instruction/Delivery
Instruction may include lectures, discussions, excursions, guest speakers, demonstrations, case-studies, practical exercises and activities. The practical Industry Placement Program (IPP) ** provides students with real life application and extension of the skills and knowledge gained in the first 4 terms.

Duration of Course
The duration of the Advanced Diploma of Event Management course is 980 hours
